Do We Need a San Diego Beach Wedding Permit?
There is a lot of misinformation out there on which areas require permits and which ones don't. We strive to provide our Clients with the most accurate information on the wedding location, including required permits, scheduled construction or detours, or local events that might impact your beach wedding ceremony.
Permits ARE REQUIRED for most areas of San Diego even if your wedding is small and it is just the two of you.
Permits are ALWAYS required if there is any setup of wedding stuff like chairs, arches, decorations, music or rose petals.
No location permit is required for our Elope to San Diego packages, as long as there are no more than 20 guests and no setup of any wedding stuff like chairs, arches, decorations, music or rose petals.
Location permits ARE REQUIRED & ARE INCLUDED with our Full-Service wedding packages that include setup of wedding equipment (except in Coronado and the CA State Beaches & Parks)
How Long You Been a Beach Wedding Planner?
We have been San Diego beach wedding planners and marriage officiants since 2005, so we have a lot experience planning beach weddings in San Diego! We are a small, family owned company and and live and work in the beach area. As such, we are tuned in to the ebb and flow of the general public at various times of the year at our coastal, cliffside and park locations, as well as the many rules and regulations that govern a San Diego beach wedding or renewal of vows ceremony.
Since we are local San Diegans, couples never have to worry about their photographer showing up late or not at all, wilted bridal flowers or an embarrassing situation when a Ranger asks for your permit, and you don't have one because the out-of-town company you hired said you didn't need one. When you enlist us to help with your beach wedding in San Diego or renewal of wedding vows, you can be assured you are receiving honest and accurate info while being cared for by an experienced, local wedding planner who will always be there to assist!

Yes, there is parking at all San Diego beach, cliffside and park wedding locations. Parking can be challenging. however, especially at the beaches on the weekends and during the summer months. Are There Restrooms at the Beaches and Parks?
There are public restrooms at a few of the San Diego wedding locations, but some venues do not have restrooms onsite. They may be a long walk (or drive) from the wedding site. What If Rain Is Predicted On Our Wedding Day?
San Diego's weather is pretty awesome all year long but during our rainy season (Nov - April) there will be an increased chance of precipitation. We are not able to set up our wedding equipment in the rain, and our photographers are not able to shoot in the rain, even if it is just sprinkling. Since we are a small, family-owned company and only do one wedding per day, we are able to be flexible and can accommodate a change in plans if Mother Nature is feeling moody and we are not able to hold the wedding at the beach, park or cliffside as planned. We offer a reschedule option, a covered outdoor location, or an indoor location option in case of rain.
